FAQ-GIT Conclave 2022

  • 1.What is the name of the institution/sponsor that is hosting this conclave ?
    The host institution is IIM Kozhikode.
  • 2. What is the format of the event?
    This will be a Hybrid conclave but participants have to present physically.
  • 3. How do I get to IIM Kozhikode?
    The Institute is about an hour's drive from the Kozhikode / Calicut International Airport (CCJ) airport (32 km) and about 30 minutes (18 km) from the Calicut Railway Station. You can find IIMK on google maps by visiting the following link: http://goo.gl/maps/B9F2y
  • 4. How do I register for the conclave ?
    You can register via Globalizing Indian Thought (GIT 2022) conclave submission page.
  • 5. What is included in the cost of my registration?
    conclave Kit (Only those who attend physically). Lunch, Tea & Snacks during the conclave .
  • 6. Can I register on behalf of my co-author or colleague?
    No. Everyone must register separately in his/her capacity.
  • 7. I am presenting two papers. Do I have to register twice and pay twice?
    Yes. You have to register and pay twice.
  • 8. I have full-time employment and I am also currently pursuing a PhD. Can I register as a student?
    No. It is only for those who are full-time doctoral students and do not have full-time employment.
  • 9. I am pursuing my graduation. Can I participate and present at the conclave ?
    No
  • 10. Do I have to present a paper at the conclave to attend?
    Not at all. We welcome attendance by scholars regardless of their presentations in the conclave sessions. Registration is mandatory.
  • 11. My paper has been accepted for presentation. My co-author and I will be attending the conclave . Do we both have to register or only one of us can register?
    Yes, you both have to register. All those who attend the conclave need to register.
  • 12. Does the registration fee include accommodation?
    No.
  • 13. How do I book accommodation for the conclave ?
    Limited accommodation is available at the IIMK guest house for which the participants have to apply separately. Rooms will be allotted on a first come first serve basis.
  • 14. What are the registration fees?

  • 15. When will I get the invoice?
    Participants could download the auto-generated invoice after paying the fees.
  • 16. How can I submit my abstract?
    Abstract can be submitted by using submission link.
  • 17. Shall I get the certificate for presenting/attending the conclave ?
    All registered participants will receive the certificate for presenting/attending the conclave .
  • 18. I have registered and my co-author did not register. Will my co-author get the certificate?
    Your co-author will not get the certificate unless he/she registers.
  • 19. When will I receive the Letter of acceptance?
    The date is given on the website.
  • 20. When will the Programme schedule be ready?
    We expect it to be ready about 10 days before the conclave and post it on the web. Once the schedule is posted, it is almost impossible to make any changes.
  • 21. How can I specify if there is a certain constraint in the presentation schedule?
    You need to inform us 10 days before the conclave dates. If you do not inform, we will not be able to entertain your request. Once the schedule is made, it is very difficult to make changes.
  • 22. What is the requirement of the paper format?

  • 23. Is there a dress code?
    No dress code for the conclave . However, smart casual is appreciated.
  • 24. Will there be A/V equipment at the venue, and what do I need to bring to use it?
    Computer, projector, screen and AV Systems will be available in the conclave rooms. You are expected to bring your presentation on a USB Flash Drive.
  • 25. Can I access and view recordings of any sessions from the conclave ?
    No. You will not be able to access and view recordings of any of the sessions.
  • 26. What time shall I have for my presentation?
    We allow approximately 15-20 minutes for each presentation (including Q&A).
  • 27. Whether the papers would be published in a special issue of a peer-reviewed journal?
    The reviewer and expert comments during the conclave will help enhance the quality of research paper for potential submission in journal.
  • 28. Can I submit the same paper to other journals or conclave s?
    The paper can be submitted to journal for potential review.
  • 29. Would only selected papers be published or all the papers that would be selected for the conclave will be published in the proceedings book?
    All papers selected for presentation shall be considered for publication in the proceedings e-book.
  • 30. When will the conclave Proceedings be available?
    The Proceedings e-book will be published on the conclave website after the conclave .
