FAQ-GIT Conclave 2023

  • 1. What is the name of the institution organizing the Conclave?
    Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode.
  • 2. What is the format of the event?
    Offline. Participants have to present physically.
  • 3. Where is the venue for the Conclave?
    The conclave is going to be conducted in Mysore.
  • 4. How do I get to the venue in Mysore?

  • 5. How do I register for the conclave?
    You can register via Globalizing Indian Thought (GIT 2023) conclave submission page.
  • 6. What is included in the cost of my registration?
    Conclave Kit, Lunch, Tea & Snacks during 15th & 16th December, 2023
  • 7. Can I register on behalf of my co-author or colleague?
    No. Everyone must register separately in his/her capacity.
  • 8. I am presenting two papers. Do I have to register twice and pay twice?
    No. With one registration, you can submit 02 papers.
  • 9. I have full-time employment and I am also currently pursuing a PhD. Can I register as a student?
    No. It is only for those who are full-time doctoral students and do not have full-time employment.
  • 10. I am pursuing my graduation. Can I participate and present at the conclave?
    Yes, you may submit under the doctoral student category.
  • 11. Do I have to present a paper at the conclave to attend?
    We welcome attendance by scholars regardless of their presentations in the conclave sessions. Registration with payment is mandatory.
  • 12. My paper has been accepted for presentation. My co-author and I will be attending the conclave. Do we both have to register or only one of us can register?
    Yes, you both have to register. All those who attend the conclave need to pay their registration fee.
  • 13. Does the registration fee include accommodation?
    No.
  • 14. How do I book accommodation for the conclave?
    The details of the few hotels in Mysore are given in the link (link will be shared soon). You have to arrange & book the room on your own.
  • 15. What are the registration fees?
    The details are available on the conclave website.
  • 16. When will I get the invoice?
    Participants could download the auto-generated invoice after paying the fees.
  • 17. How can I submit my extended abstract?
    Extended abstracts can be submitted by using submission link. Please make sure the extended abstract is with the stipulated word limit of 2000–3000 words. There is no need for a full paper.
  • 18. Shall I get the certificate for presenting/attending the conclave?
    All participants who registered with payment and attended the conclave will receive a certificate for presenting/attending the conclave.
  • 19. I have registered and my co-author did not register. Will my co-author get the certificate?
    Your co-author will not get the certificate unless he/she registers, provided you present the paper in the conclave.
  • 20. When will I receive the Letter of acceptance?
    The date is given on the website.
  • 21. When will the Programme schedule be ready?
    We expect it to be ready about 10 days before the conclave and post it on the web. Once the schedule is posted, it is almost impossible to make any changes.
  • 22. How can I specify if there is a certain constraint in the presentation schedule?
    You need to inform us 10 days before the conclave dates. If you do not inform, we will not be able to entertain your request. Once the schedule is made, it is very difficult to make changes.
  • 23. What is the requirement of the paper format?

  • 24. Is there a dress code?
    No dress code for the conclave. However, smart casual is appreciated.
  • 25. Will there be A/V equipment at the venue, and what do I need to bring to use it?
    Computer, projector, screen and AV Systems will be available in the conclave rooms. You are expected to bring your presentation on a USB Flash Drive.
  • 26. Can I access and view recordings of any sessions from the conclave?
    No. You will not be able to access and view recordings of any of the sessions.
  • 27. What time shall I have for my presentation?
    We allow approximately 15-20 minutes for each presentation (including Q&A).
  • 28. Whether the papers would be published in a special issue of a peer-reviewed journal?
    The reviewer and expert comments during the conclave will help enhance the quality of research paper for potential submission in journal.
  • 29. Can I submit the same paper to other journals or conclaves?
    The paper can be submitted to journal for potential review.
  • 30. Would only selected papers be published or all the papers that would be selected for the conclave will be published in the proceedings book?
    All papers selected for presentation shall be considered for publication in the proceedings e-book.
  • 31. When will the conclave Proceedings be available?
    The Proceedings e-book will be published on the conclave website after the conclave.
