Prof. Karuna Jain received the B.E. degree (First Rank Gold Medalist) in electrical engineering from APS University, Rewa, India, in 1981, and the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India, in 1987. She was the Post Doctorate Fellow in operations management from the University of Calgary, Calgary, AB, Canada, from 1991–1992. She is currently a Professor of Technology and Operations Management with SJMSOM, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India. She has authored/coauthored extensively in journals of repute like DSJ, EJOR, NRQ, IJPE, IEEE-TEM, and TFSC to name a few. She has presented her research at national (ORSI SOM, PMIRAC, ISDSI, POMS India) and international conferences (POMS, DSI, IAMOT, PMI). Her research interests include technology and innovation management, intellectual property management, project management, and supply chain management. Prof. Jain is the recipient of the “Distinguished Fellow” Award in 2019 by PMI India and the “Distinguished Service Achievement Award” in 2019 for her exemplary service in the area of MOT by IAMOT.
