Prof Usha Ramanathan is the Professor of Sustainability and Supply Chains in Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom. Her academic experience spans for over 25 years in India, Sultanate of Oman, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom. Currently, she is involved in sustainability projects such as food waste reduction in Europe, value-creation from wasted plastics and smart farming in India. Prof. Usha’s research interest includes supply chain collaboration for sustainability and performance of SMEs, waste reduction in industries such as food and textiles, value of information sharing and forecasting, e-tailing, Big Data, retail customer behaviour and loyalty in the contexts of service and operations. She has published in leading journals such as International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Expert Systems with Applications and Omega: The International Journal of Management Science. She is the reviewer for many leading journals.
