Instructions for online registration and filling-up application

Steps to be followed:

(Please use the latest version of internet browser & enable Java script to fill up the application form)

  • Step 1: Please visit the link http://iimk.ac.in/kochi/, which is part of IIMK website and admission notification page of EPGP-Kochi page.
    Click on “Click Here to Register & Apply Online”.
    Register first through New Registration’ link.
    Note: While registering, please use the name as in the SSLC/SSC/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS Certificate. Please also note that e-mail and mobile number, once registered cannot be changed, till the admissions process is over.
  • Step 2: After registration, go to your e-mail inbox to find the application number, e-mail, mobile number, and password entered. Read “Instructions for Online Fee payment” and keep the required details ready. Log into the online application form, using the registered application number-e-mail-password combination.
  • Step 3: Make the online application fee payment of Rs. 2,000/- Online Payment is to be done through: .
    • Credit/Debit Card* (Visa, Master, Maestro, RuPay)
    • Internet Banking*

    *Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment will have to be borne by the candidate.

  • Step 4: Please fill up the required details carefully in the application form. There will be six sections in the form, viz; Personal Data, Academic Record, Employment Details, Career Plans, Extra-Curricular Activities, and References. Each section has a ‘save and continue’ option at the end. You can resume from the saved page onwards, in case of disruption in internet connection or have been logged out unknowingly.
    There will be a preview page immediately before the “Submit Registration Form” which allows you to review and edit the data, being filled up. No editing will be allowed, once you finally submit the application form.
    Applications with insufficient details, incomplete or information, found to be false and untrue will be rejected and the candidate will be disqualified from process of the admission.
  • Step 5: Please download the duly filled/submitted application form and keep one print copy handy for your EMAT/Interview. The candidate should carry all original academic records, experience records, shown in the application form, and one set of self-attested copies of all the documents specified in Annexure-I .
  • Note: Do not dispatch, application form or supporting documents to IIM-Kozhikode or IIMK-Kochi Campus

    Annexure-I

    List of documents to be submitted for appearing EMAT/Interview

    After successful submission of the online application form and fee payment, candidates are required to bring one set of following documents, during EMAT/Interview;

    • Duly signed print out of the submitted online application form with a recent passport size photo of the candidate pasted in the space provided therein.
    • Original & one set of self-attested copy of CAT/GMAT/GRE scorecard; if the candidate is seeking admission through CAT/GMAT/GRE score.
    • Online Application Fee Receipt.
    • Following original academic records and one set of a self-attested copy.
      • 10th / SSLC/SSC/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS Certificate & Mark Sheet.
      • Pre-Degree/Plus-Two/AISSCE/HSC/VHSC Certificate & Mark Sheet
      • All Certificates & Mark Sheets of Graduation or Professional Qualification, as applicable.
      • Post-Graduation/Other Higher Qualification mark sheet of all years & certificates., in case the candidates possess such qualifications.
    • Experience certificates in original, in proof of the details of employment, submitted in the application form & one set of a self-attested copy. Entrepreneurs are required to submit the copy of the company registration /partnership deed / Copy of Income Tax Returns, filed for 3 years as proof for experience.
    • SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layer)/ PwD/PwBD status issued by the competent authority in original and one set of self-attested copy, in case candidates belong to such category.
    • Photo identity proof, such as Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/AADHAR in original and one set of self-attested copy.
    • Copy of Gazette Notification ,in case there is a change in Name

    If the candidates fail to produce the documents mentioned 1 to 8, they will not be permitted to attend EMAT/Interview.


    Important:

    • Details given at the time of registration and application cannot be edited after the final submission of the application.
    • This data form is a key document of the admission process. Complete and accurate responses to the items are, therefore, extremely important. Incomplete or false information will adversely affect your chance of admission to the programme.Admission, so granted based on false information will be ipso facto becomes null and void.
    • In all matters relating to admission, the decision of the Institute will be final and binding on the candidate.
    • Date and time slot(s) and location information for EMAT and interview will be intimated to eligible candidates through their registered e-mail, towards the close of the admission application timeline. EMAT and interviews are mandatory and non-attendance will make the application invalid.

      Filling the Online Application form

      Application Number Will be auto-updated with the application number generated at the time of registration.
      EMAT Examination Centre Candidates should select the centre of their choice from the drop-down list: Kochi, Trivandrum, Kozhikode.
      The institute reserves the right to cancel any of the centers and direct the participant to appear for the test in another centre.
      SECTION 1: PERSONAL DATA (* shows mandatory field)
      Name* Please enter the details carefully as appears in the record like SSLC/SSC/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS /Gazette Notification. You should have a valid photo identity proof with the name, as entered.
      Gender* Please select from the drop-down list.
      Date of Birth * Enter DOB as per the SSLC/SSC/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS Certificate. The format is dd/mm/yyyy ( eg. 29/05/1969)
      Age *(in completed years) Enter the completed age as per the date of birth provided in the last row. (age as on EMAT/Interview date). If the date of EMAT and Interview are on different dates, age as on Interview may be entered.
      Category* Please select from the drop-down list, “GEN” / “OBC (NC)” / “SC” / “ST” / “PwD”/PwBD as applicable, to avail relaxation as per government norms. In case a candidate fails to produce a valid Certificate during EMAT/Interview, he/she shall be considered under the 'General' category only.
      Address*: Permanent / for Communication* You can choose the former to be applied for the latter as well.
      Address Line 1 * Enter your House Name/Door number/Apartment Number
      City * Enter the name of the City, where you are located at present.
      State * Select the State, where you are presently located.
      Pin code * This field will allow numeric characters only (0-9). Do not leave spaces in between.
      Phone Number with STD & Country Code Please fill in a fixed-line phone number STD and Country code, if available.
      Mobile Number# Will be auto-updated with the number entered during the registration.
      #The Institute may use this number for communication. The candidate is not allowed to change this until the completion of the admission process.
      E-Mail # Will be auto-updated with e-mail id entered during the time of registration.
      #The Institute may use this email ID for communication. The candidate is not allowed to change this until the completion of the admission process.
      Alternate Email ID Please enter an alternate email id in operation.

      SECTION 2: ACADEMIC RECORD (* shows mandatory field)
      (A) Schooling
      Standard & School / College* “Standard” will be prefixed as 10th and 12th. Please type the name of the School / College as per record under the heading School / College.
      Board / University* Please type the name of Board / University, as appears in the record.
      Year* Please mention the year of appearing the exam, in which the Candidate has declared to have been passed the Course.
      Class / Division Please mention the Class/Division / CGPA secured in the 10th and 12th class examination.
      % of Marks Obtained* Please mention the percentage of marks obtained in Class 10th and 12th examination. Please see the note at the end of this form for CGPA conversion.
      (B) Graduation
      Discipline * Select/tick the appropriate box from the list or add-in others.
      Subject * Please specify the subject specialization (Main) in case of Science/Commerce/Arts graduates. In the case of Engineering Graduates, specify the branch as well.
      College* Kindly mention the name of College/Institute, where you have studied for Graduation.
      University* Mention the name of the University.
      Year of Examination* Mention the final year in which the Candidate has appreaed for examination.
      Specify your Category* Select from among “GEN / OBC(NC)” or “SC/ST/PwD/PwBD”
      Aggregate percentage in Graduation* Mention Percentage of marks secured out of total marks for Main and Subsidairy subjects in case of Science/Commerce/Arts Graduates and Percentage calculated from marks secured , out of total marks in all semesters in case of Engineering Graduates.
      (C) Professional Qualification
      Discipline * Select/tick the appropriate box from the list or add in Others.
      College / Institute* Kindly mention the name of the College/Institute, where the candidate has studied.
      University* Kindly mention the name of the Institute / University, where the candidate has studied.
      Year of Examination* Mention each year of the program.
      Percentage Score* Mention Percentage of marks secured out of total marks for two years in case of Science/Commerce/Arts Post- Graduates and Percentage calculated from marks secured , out of total marks in all semesters in case of Engineering Graduates.
      In case the candidates are awarded Grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of such Grades/CGPA into percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the University/ Institution from where they have obtained the Qualification. In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate's CGPA by the maximum CGPA obtainable and multiplying the result with 100. ((CGPA obtained /Total CGPA) x 100)
      Aggregate Percentage Mention Percentage of marks secured out of total marks for two years in case of Science/Commerce/Arts Post- Graduates and Percentage calculated from marks secured , out of total marks in all semesters in case of Engineering Graduates.
      D) Post-Graduation
      Do you have a Post Graduate qualification? If you select “Yes” , please fill up all the columns below
      Discipline Select/tick the appropriate box from the list.
      Subject Please specify the subject specialization.
      College / Institute Please mention the name of the College/Institute.
      University Mention the name of the University.
      Year of Examination Mention the final year of the examination
      Percentage Score Mention the aggregate percentage of marks secured for two years. In case the candidates are awarded Grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of Grades/CGPA into percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the University/ Institution from where they have obtained the degree. In case the University/ Institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate's CGPA by the maximum CGPA obtainable and multiplying the result with 100. ((CGPA obtained /Total CGPA) x 100)
      Aggregate percentage in Post-Graduation Mention the total percentage of marks secured out of total maximum marks for two years. Convert CGPA into % as mentioned above.
      (E) Mode of consideration of Test Score by: EMAT / CAT / GMAT/ GRE
      Select your test option Select appropriate test category-EMAT/CAT/GMAT/GRE. Fill valid CAT/GMAT/GRE Score, in case such node has been chosen. Others can tick-EMAT
      SECTION 3: EMPLOYMENT DETAILS (* are mandatory fields)
      Organization* Please type the name of the organization that you are presently working with / have worked. Start filling from the current employment in the first row, adding the previous ones after that in that chronological order.
      Designation* Mention clearly the Position with Level
      Date of commencement of employment Please begin with first employment DD/MM/YYYY
      Ending date of employment Please fill up as previous day of EMAT/Interview DD/MM/YYYY
      Number of Months* Please enter the exact number of months completed in the employment. If there is/are service break(s), it/they may be reduced from number of months to be shown.
      Gross Monthly Remuneration* It shall contain the total monthly emoluments without adding perks, as per the Pay/Salary slip given by the Employer.
      Designation of the person to whom reporting Please specify the designation of the person to whom the candidate has reported/is at present reporting.
      Total relevant work experience in months as on EMAT / Interview date. This field will be automatically computed by the system based on the details filled by the candidate.
      SECTION 4: CAREER PLANS
      Statement of Purpose* (1 to 4) Briefly outline your professional plans and career objectives in own words. Describe briefly your current or most recent job responsibilities Strengths and weaknesses as identified by you and the most significant accomplishment so far.
      SECTION 5: EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
      Extra-Curricular Activities ( 1(a)(b)(c) 2 3) Please list out the achievements/representations/positions held by you within or outside the academic or employment area. This may include active involvement in Arts, Sports, Social & Cultural, or any other activities you may consider relevant to let us know more about you. The Institute reserves absolute discretion to consider or not to consider any of this information for admission to the program
      REFERENCES
      References* ( 1 & 2) Please provide two references, who are not personal friends or relatives and whom you consider having a reasonable understanding of your work or business and could provide feedback to us on the same.
