GIT 2024
With great pleasure, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode announces the 5th edition of the International Conclave on "Globalizing Indian Thought (GIT 2024)", which will expand its global reach to be conducted in the Senate House, University of London, during October 24-25, 2024.
The conclave's central focus is India's numerous, long-lasting contributions to the globe including Indian knowledge systems, culture, and management. Indian knowledge systems have thousands of years of rich and distinguished history. The distinct opportunities and problems faced by Indian society have led to the evolution of these systems. They provide a multitude of perspectives on society, the cosmos, and human nature.
Conversations about globalisation have traditionally been linked to Westernization. Indian philosophy can make a significant contribution to these discussions. India's innovative knowledge systems, rich traditions, and intellectual heritage position it to play a leading role in addressing the more dynamic future of the globalised world. These values are reflected in the way Indians think about management and leadership.
Indian culture is distinguished by a great focus on harmony, community, and spirituality. Indian customs, knowledge systems, and business management ideas, among other things, are deeply ingrained in these cultures.
The three crucial elements of Indian thought: Satyam (Truth), Nityam (Sustainability) and Purnam (Wholeness) are capable enough to influence and impact the world in the present century.
The belief in this trinity has positioned India as a change-agent since Indian leaders thrive on being known as realized beings by embracing the spirit of sustainability and reverence for life.
In light of this, the GIT 2024 aims to offer an opportunity for inquisitive and keen thinkers across professions and vocations to deliberate on the ageless Indian ideas converging into a plethora of creative platforms. It is also an opportunity to learn from the rich and varied traditions of India.
GIT 2024 promises to be an engaging and fruitful experience!
